Eastland Mall has been a proud member of the community since it opened its doors in 1981. The mall has been the site of some amazing fund-raising events promoting various different organizations throughout the community.
The Non Profit of the Month is a recognition program designed in 2014 by the mall management team at Eastland Mall. The Non Profit of the Month program provides an organization with needed exposure and also helps drive funds and support for one of the organization's events during that month.
So how does an organization get recognized as Non Profit of the Month?
First, the organization must be a valid 501(c)(3) organization. Secondly, the organization must be nominated for the honor by a member of mall management team. Organizations that are picked for the honor typically have an event going on in the month of their recognition or in the early part of the following month.
What does the organization receive as Non Profit of the Month?
Each organization receives FREE advertising on the mall's digital message board located on Green River Road. This digital board gets 33,000 vehicle views a day. The organization receives a FREE ad for the organization and a FREE ad to promote their event.
Each organization gets a page on ShopEastlandMall.com that gives history about the organization and also promotes the upcoming event. The mall page links to the organizations page.
And finally, each organization has the opportunity to have a table in the mall to sell tickets or promote their upcoming event to thousands of shoppers.
Can my organization apply to be Non Profit of the Month?
Since organizations are nominated by a member of the mall management team, there is no formal application for Non Profit of the Month. We do, however, enjoy learning about different organizations and have a sincere desire to recognize as many organizations as possible in this program. You can email an organization resume to Sean.Ferguson@Macerich.com.
